We raise Juliana mini pigs, a smaller heritage-style mini pig known for their friendly personalities, intelligence, and unique spotted coloring. Our pigs are raised on our Alabama homestead with daily handling and attentive care.
Are Juliana pigs good pets?
Yes — when properly cared for. Juliana pigs are:
Highly intelligent
Affectionate and social
Curious and playful
They bond closely with their owners but require consistent training, enrichment, and boundaries.
Are mini pigs good with children?
Mini pigs can do well in families with children who respect animals. Adult supervision is important. Pigs are strong, intelligent animals and should never be treated like toys.
Do mini pigs stay small forever?
Mini pigs remain smaller than commercial farm pigs, but they continue growing for several years. Any breeder promising a pig will stay extremely tiny is being misleading. We believe in honest, transparent education.
Are Juliana pigs considered “true” mini pigs?
Juliana pigs are considered one of the smaller traditional mini pig breeds, but no pig stays “teacup-sized.” Like all pigs, size depends on genetics, diet, and care. We focus on healthy, responsibly bred pigs, not extreme downsizing. Our Males tend to finish out at about 50-65 pounds, our Females usually finish at 35-50 pounds.
Are mini pigs good with other animals?

What do mini pigs eat?
Mini pigs should eat:

Limited fruits (as treats)
They should never be fed dog food, junk food, or excessive treats. Overfeeding is the #1 cause of health issues in pet pigs.
Can mini pigs live indoors?
Mini pigs can live indoors or outdoors, depending on setup and climate. Many owners choose a combination of both. Indoor pigs require:
Pig-proofed spaces
Litter or potty training
Mental enrichment
Outdoor pigs need secure fencing, shelter, and protection from extreme temperatures.
Are mini pigs easy to potty train?
Mini pigs are very intelligent and can be litter-trained or trained to go outside, similar to dogs. Consistency and patience are key.
Do mini pigs smell?
When properly cared for, mini pigs are very clean animals. Most odor issues come from poor hygiene, improper housing, or diet.
